It motivates us to share responsibility and unite us under the commitment of working together to achieve a common goal: the preservation of life on Earth.
CONSERVATION
Billions of years of evolution have resulted in the biodiversity that exists today. From this immense collection of life, we have knowledge of only part: an estimated 2.16 million species (World Animal Foundation). The as yet unseen natural heritage – and what we have lost thus far – leads us to believe that it is urgent to gather and apply knowledge in conservation actions to mitigate the impact of man on nature.
SUSTAINABILITY
The increasing urbanization of natural spaces, along with population growth, threaten to compromise the balance of ecosystems and the environment in general. Human activity has contributed to the acceleration of the rate of extinction by overexploiting resources, fragmenting habitats, introducing exotic species, reducing genetic potential, and contaminating water, soil, and air. We know the causes, we anticipate the consequences: we want to contribute to the solutions.
SOCIETY

Change begins in each of us: materializing it and spreading it is part of our social and environmental responsibility. Ambios Portugal is committed to inspiring new attitudes towards the environment. To do this, we seek to acquire and reveal knowledge, sharing science in an informal way. We believe in the power of education and information to awaken consciousness and change behavior. We promote the flow of ideas between science and society, always celebrating the life on this planet, that (also) welcomes us.
